"On paper, it's something positive (the creation of a commercial company by the LFP and the participation of the American investment fund CVC Capital Partners in the company with a 13% stake for €1.5bn). Vincent Labrune has succeeded in turning the crisis in French football into an opportunity. It's a good initiative taken by the LFP. I think it's a good deal for both parties. It can pave the way for other leagues in France if it works," said Arnaud Simon, CEO of In&Out Stories, a consultancy firm for national and international sports organisations, to News Tank Football on 14/04/2022.

"The model for the next consultation for media rights in the French market is bound to be different. I don't think we can continue with the rigid framework of a classic call for tenders, very legal but not economic enough. This framework must cover the business issues with the priority of serving the fans in mind," said Arnaud Simon.
