"The Lega Serie A Assembly unanimously approves the changes to the statutes to bring them into line with the FIGC guidelines," announced Lorenzo Casini, president of the Italian professional league, at the end of the meeting attended by all the clubs at the headquarters in via Rosellini, Milan (ITA) on 14/04/2022.

"It is an important result obtained thanks to the newfound compactness of the League and of all the clubs, whom I thank. Now the text will be sent to the commissioner and the Federation. I thank president Gravina and the commissioner for the collaboration they have shown in the last weeks," added Lorenzo Casini.

Faced with the refusal of the Lega Serie A to modify its statutes - and in particular certain qualified majorities during votes, which had the effect of blocking the reforms - Gabriele Gravina had installed at the League an "ad hoc commissioner" Gennaro Terracciano, vice-rector of the "Foro Italico" university in Rome.
