Media: Infront, shareholder Bridgepoint consider injecting capital by inviting new shareholders

The Swiss media and marketing agency Infront Sports & Media began negotiations with potential new shareholders to continue the company's expansion, explained Philippe Blatter, president and CEO of Infront, in a letter to his clients and whose content was revealed by the media agency Reuters on 04/09/2014.

Infront Sports & Media, founded in 2003 (by Robert Louis-Dreyfus and Klaus Jacobs), was purchased in 2011 by the British private equity fund Bridgepoint for €550m, from Jacobs Holding and its shareholder Martin Steinmeyer. Philippe Blatter explained in his letter that the company, currently operating in 10 countries (Germany, Austria, China, Finland, France, Italy, Qatar, Singapore, Switzerland and Turkey), is looking for new opportunities abroad to develop new services.

"Bridgepoint and the Infront Management (...) began a process to review different options for the company to find the appropriate support for its next phase of growth," said Philippe Blatter, the nephew of Joseph Blatter, the president of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), in the letter…
