Birmingham City FC (Championship, the second English division) launched an official app for its partners on 08/09/2014. The app, called the "Blues Network" and available in October 2014 on the iOS and Android platforms, aims to facilitate networking between the professional clients of the English club. It will also serve as a commercial tool for Birmingham City. Its price was not communicated.

The app, unveiled at the SoccerEx Global Convention (from 06 to 10/09/2014) in Manchester (ENG), has a geo-localisation emittor that makes it possible for its users to locate the club's staff, as well as the other users of the "Blues Network" app, in the stadium or in the club's premises. This software will also enable its users to register in advance their tickets to St Andrew's (capacity 30,009), the club's stadium.

The app will feature information on Birmingham City, direct messaging services as well as marketing information for the club's partners. It will also be possible to visit the LinkedIn (business social network) account of the app's users.
