OL Groupe: several offers to buy Pathé and IDG Capital's shares (39% of the total capital)

OL Groupe, the holding company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), has already received at least six offers from American and European investors who wish to acquire the shares put up for sale by the two shareholders, the French group Pathé (film production and distribution, cinema operation) and the Chinese investment fund IDG Capital, according to the economic and financial information site Bloomberg, citing a source close to the matter. "More proposals are expected to be received in the coming days," said Bloomberg.

Pathé and IDG had announced that they had commissioned the American investment bank Raine Group "to evaluate their strategic and financial options concerning their respective stakes in the club," on 09/03/2022. Pathé became a shareholder of OL Groupe in April 1999. It currently owns 19.26% of the capital (and 24.45% of the voting rights, as of 31/12/2021). IDG Capital acquired shares at the end of 2016 and now holds 19.74% of the club (and 25.07% of the voting rights). The two shareholders therefore hold a total of 39% of OL Groupe.
