• FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) is introducing new ticketing measures to combat the misuse of match tickets, following the massive purchase of tickets - more than 30,000 - by fans of Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt who travelled to the Camp Nou for the Europa League quarter-final second leg from which Barça were eliminated (1-1, 2-3).
• Phone manufacturer Motorola is to become the first sleeve sponsor of an MLB franchise, the San Diego Padres, from 2023.
• British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and American tennis player Serena Williams have joined the group of investors led by British businessman Martin Broughton, former chairman of British Airways, who is bidding to buy Premier League club Chelsea FC (Premier League).
• Olympique de Marseille and Rugby Club Toulonnais (Top 14) are organising a clean-up operation in the Calanques National Park (Marseille, FRA) on 23/04/2022.
