Champions League: head-to-head Manchester City - Real Madrid (semi-final first leg, 26/04/2022)

With a turnover of €644.9m in 2020-21, Manchester City FC (Premier League) tops the 2022 edition of the "Deloitte Football Money League", just ahead of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) with their turnover of €640.7m, as the two clubs prepare to face each other in the first leg of their 2021-22 Champions League semi-final at the Etihad Stadium (Manchester, ENG) on Tuesday 26/04/2022 (kick-off at 20:00 local time, 21:00 CET).

Real Madrid's brand valued at €1.276bn topped the "Football 50 2021" ranking published in May 2021 by the American company Brand Finance, a consultancy firm specialised in brand strategy and valuation. Manchester City, meanwhile, were ranked fourth among this Top 50 of European football clubs (with €1.118bn).

Real Madrid, the most successful club in the Champions League (13 wins), are also ahead of their English rivals in the Top 20 "World's Most Valuable Soccer Teams" (excluding real estate) as established by the American business magazine Forbes in April 2021, in second place ($4.75bn/€4.35bn), while Manchester City ranked 6^th ($4bn).
