United Kingdom: Channel 4, the new broadcaster of England matches until 2024

The British public broadcaster Channel 4 has acquired the exclusive live broadcasting rights to England's national team matches for the United Kingdom until 2024, announced the channel on 29/04/2022.

The rights, acquired from UEFA via the Swiss agency CAA Eleven, include a total of 20 England national team matches, which will be broadcast between 2022 and 2024: England's six 2022 Nations League matches (versus Hungary, Germany and Italy), England's Euro 2024 qualifiers and international friendlies. This will be the first time that England's Nations League matches will be broadcast free-to-air in the UK.

Over the 2018-2022 cycle, the British pay-TV operator Sky held the exclusive UK broadcasting rights to all Nations League matches (including those of England). The British free-TV group ITV held the rights to England's Euro 2020 qualifiers and 2022 World Cup matches.

The awarding of the UK rights to other European teams, including Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, for the 2022-2024 cycle has not yet been announced.
