Spain: launch of a national plan for the development of academies thanks to LaLiga Impulso

LaLiga presented its "National Plan for the Optimisation and Improvement of Youth Academies" to various representatives from the academies of LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank clubs in Pamplona (Basque Country, ESP) on 26/04/2022.

"To design a joint project that bridges the gap between clubs, increasing competitiveness and standards collectively, and to achieve sustained growth by laying foundations that, together, will in turn contribute to boosting professional football in the long term, optimising resources and processes" is the aim of the plan, which is based on five strategic pillars (see below) and will be financed by LaLiga Impulso, an agreement between the Spanish League and its clubs (with the exception of Athletic Club Bilbao, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF and UD Ibiza) and the investment fund CVC Capital Partners (see "further reading" section).
