War in Ukraine: no Nations League, Women's Euro or European Cups for Russia (UEFA)

Russia will not participate in the Nations League (League B, Group 2) and will be relegated at the end of the group stage by finishing 16^th and last in League B; Russia will not participate in the Women's Euro 2022 (Group C) and will be replaced by Portugal, who lost in the play-offs to Russia, following a decision made by the UEFA executive committee on 02/05/2022.

"Russia will have no affiliated clubs participating in UEFA club competitions in the 2022/23 season. Consequently, the respective access lists of the men's and women's club competitions have been rebalanced in accordance with the principles set out in the relevant competition regulations," explained the European body.

These decisions were taken following "the decision of the UEFA executive committee of 28/02/2022, suspending all Russian representative teams and clubs from participating in UEFA competition matches until further notice" (due to the war in Ukraine started by Russia on 24/02/2022).
