Olympique Lyonnais: €141m investment for the LDLC Arena 100% financed by OL Groupe

"OL Groupe is responsible for 100% of the financing of the LDLC Arena, via its subsidiary, OL Vallée Arena. Totalling €141m, the investment will be financed through a combination of equity/near-equity (€51m) and a property lease (€90m net)," explained OL Groupe, the holding company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), on 02/05/2022.

Construction work on the LDLC Arena, a 12,000 to 16,500-capacity events venue built near the Groupama Stadium in OL Vallée in Décines-Charpieu (Rhône, FRA), has just begun, as indicated by Olympique Lyonnais on 13/01/2022. The design and construction have been entrusted respectively to the Populous Group (architect firm) and to Citinéa, a subsidiary of Vinci Construction France. "Land acquisition was finalised on 02/05/2022, thereby lifting the last remaining suspensive conditions of the design/construction contract signed with Citinea. Construction began in January 2022, and the arena is expected to enter service at the end of 2023, added OL Groupe.
