ECA: Robert Faulkner appointed director of communications and marketing

ECA has appointed Robert Faulkner as director of communications and marketing, announced the European Club Association on 03/05/2022. "Faulkner starts his role immediately in May (2022), based at ECA's offices in Nyon (Vaud), Switzerland," added the body.

"As a member of the Senior Leadership team Faulkner will be tasked with leading ECA's communications and marketing department and will report directly to chief executive officer Charlie Marshall. He will assume overall responsibility for areas including communications, public relations, marketing, digital content and branding of ECA, while also working closely with David Sugden and the advisory team of the chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, to deliver the chairman's priorities," explained the ECA.

"Faulkner joins ECA following a two-and-a-half-year stint from 2019 to 2022 as head of communications at European Athletics, the governing body for athletics in Europe based in Lausanne, Switzerland," added the European Club Association.
