Ligue 1: Hyundai continues as shirt sponsor of Olympique Lyonnais until 2015-16

Korean auto manufacturer Hyundai has extended its contract as the main shirt sponsor of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1) for league matches until the end of the 2015-16 season, the club announced on 12/09/2014. The partnership began in August 2012.

The manufacturer will have the opportunity to use the designation of key partner of Olympique Lyonnais, as well as have a presence on various media communications of the club. The agreement provides for public relations at the various competitions. Olympique Lyonnais launched "sociOL room by Hyundai" in December 2013, a system connected to manage social networks in the Stade de Gerland during major events. The agreement is estimated at €5m per year.

The extension of the agreement for two seasons allows Hyundai to remain visible in the French market until Euro 2016, an event which the auto maker also partners with, just as Hyundai was a partner of the 2014 World Cup (Brazil).

The club estimates sales sponsorship revenues are located "between €17 and 18m for the 2014-15 season," stated the president of Lyon, Jean-Michel Aulas, who adds: "Almost…
