Tennis: €43.6m in prize money for Roland-Garros 2022 (+6.8% vs 2019), €2.2m for each singles winner

The prize money for the 2022 edition of Roland-Garros, which runs from 22/05 to 05/06/2022, is €43.6m, an increase of 6.8% compared to 2019 (the last edition of the tournament organised under normal conditions, before the Covid-19 pandemic, with €42.661m in prize money) and 27% compared to 2021 (€34.367m), announced the FFT, the tournament's organising body, on 04/05/2022.

The winners of the men's and women's singles will take home €2.2m, the singles finalists €1,100,000, while the winners of the doubles (men's and women's) will receive €580,000. Compared to 2019, the prize money awarded to singles winners has dropped by 4% (€2.3m in 2019), while the amount awarded to players eliminated in the first round has increased by 35% to €62,000 (€46,000 in 2019).
