Premier League: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (May 2022)

The 20 clubs participating in the 2021-22 Premier League season have more than 643 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/05/2022. This total enables the Premier League to maintain its position as the most popular European Top 5 league, all three social networks combined, ahead of LaLiga Santander, with an average of over 32.1 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with more than 163 million fans, followed by Chelsea FC, who have more than 104 million in total, and Liverpool FC, with more than 96 million.

Liverpool FC was the club that experienced the best growth in absolute value during the month April 2022, with 1.481 million additional fans, including 60.8% on Instagram alone. Among the clubs participating in the European Top 5, only two LaLiga Santander clubs performed better over the period: Real Madrid CF (+3.124 million followers) and FC Barcelona (+1.486 million).
