Spain: RFEF to promote the Ministry of Agriculture's agri-food brand "Alimentos de España"

The Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) is extending its partnership with the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol, which will now promote the Ministry's agri-food brand "Alimentos de España", announced the RFEF on 03/05/2022.

The agreement will run for 18 months (until October 2023) and will be accompanied by a €2.4m payment from MAPA to the Federation, according to Spanish media outlet 2Playbook the same day. "The agreement includes public relations actions, perimeter advertising on stadium supports and video scoreboards, as well as the production and recording of footage for digital use," explained the Spanish body.

"The senior men's, women's and U21 men's national football teams, as well as the senior men's national futsal team, will promote the 'Alimentos de España' brand. The players will participate, in various forms, in the next Alimentos de España promotional campaign, which will be launched in 2022 and 2023 under the slogan 'The richest country in the world'," added the RFEF.
