DNCG: publication of the individual accounts of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs for the 2020-21 season

17 clubs out of 20 in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats and 10 out of 20 in the Ligue 2 BKT posted a net loss for the 2020-21 financial year, according to a DNCG report published by the LFP on 05/05/2022, which presents the individual accounts of the 40 professional French clubs (20 in Ligue 1 and 20 in Ligue 2) for a season that was played behind closed doors or at best with strict capacity limits imposed as a result of the fight against Covid-19.

Thus, during the 2020-21 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season, only AS Saint-Étienne, Stade de Reims and Dijon FCO (relegated to Ligue 2 in 2021) ended their season with net profits of €62,000, €2.21m and €951,000 respectively. The cumulative net result for the Ligue 1 clubs in 2020-21 was -€575m, and that of Ligue 2 was -€38.99m. Considering the result excluding transfers, the 20 Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs posted a negative result for the financial year 2020-21, as did 16 Ligue 2 clubs.
