Rugby: confirmation of the two Men's and three Women's World Cup hosts until 2033

England will host the 2025 Rugby World Cup (women's), Australia the 2027 Rugby World Cup (men's) and 2029 Rugby World Cup (women's), and the United States the 2031 Rugby World Cup (men's) and 2033 Rugby World Cup (women's), according to World Rugby on 12/05/2022. The body will "form partnerships with national unions and governments to establish a local delivery structure in each nation."

USA Rugby had initially announced the USA's bid to host the men's World Cup in 2027 or 2031, and the women's competition in 2029, on 20/10/2021.

World Rugby has been in exclusive discussions with England for the 2025 World Cup and with Australia for the 2027 edition, following an announcement on 24/11/2021. "In a ground-breaking move, World Rugby will award hosting rights to its next two men's and women's Rugby World Cups (the 2025 and 2029 women's events and the 2027 and 2031 men's events) within the same process (in May 2022)," said the body on 13/08/2020.
