Villarreal CF: the Estadio de la Cerámica to be renovated by the end of 2022 (budget: €35m)

Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander) has unveiled its renovation project for the Estadio de la Cerámica (22,000 capacity) on 11/05/2022. The work will take place from 16/05 to the end of December 2022 in order for the stadium to be ready for the centenary of the club founded in March 1923. The Estadio de la Cerámica is the property of the municipality of Vila-real, a city located about 60 km north of Valencia (ESP).

The key elements of the upcoming work include:
• the construction of a new stand in order to completely close the stadium;
• the covering of the entire stadium with a roof on which photovoltaic panels will be installed;
• two new 21x7m scoreboards;
• new sound, lighting and LED display systems;
• the remodelling of the interior spaces (lounges, restaurant and club museum).
