US Soccer: "Equal prize money for men and women players: a truly historic moment" (C. Parlow Cone)

"This is a truly historic moment. In becoming the first Federation in the world to solve the massive and vexing challenge of equalizing FIFA World Cup prize money, US Soccer and our players have changed the game forever here in the United States, with the hopes of inspiring change around the world," said Cindy Parlow Cone, president of US Soccer, in an open letter to the US national team fans on 18/05/2022.

"The United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the United States Women's National Team Players Association (USWNTPA) and the United States National Soccer Team Players Association (USNSTPA) have agreed to terms of historic, first-of-their-kind collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) that achieve equal pay,  including for the FIFA World Cup prize money," announced the USSF on 18/05/2022.

"These agreements also come at a crucially important moment for our game, with two World Cups in the next year (2022 World Cup in Qatar for the men's team, and Women's World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand), and the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympics set to take place on home soil," said Cindy…
