Newcastle United FC (Premier League) have posted a turnover of £140.2m (€163.1m on 30/06/2021) for the financial year 2021 (from 01/08/2020 to 30/06/2021, 11 months), down 8.1% compared to 2020 (£152.6m/€168.6m, from 01/07/2019 to 31/07/2020, 13 months), according to the financial results published by the club on 16/05/2022.

The club's matchday revenues were close to zero due to the Covid-19 health crisis, while commercial revenues fell by 32% (to £17.6m). The increase in media rights (+12.4% to £119.3m) does not fully compensate for these drops.

Newcastle's operating result has improved (-£13.7m, compared to -£27.7m on 31/07/2020), as well as its net result (£12.2m loss, compared to a £22.5m deficit in 2020), due to a drop in costs, especially in staff (-11.8% to £106.8m).

Newcastle United FC was wholly acquired by a consortium of investors led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) and including PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media (two UK-based private equity funds) on 07/10/2021, more than three months after the end of the financial year 2021.
