Bundesliga: Sky Mexico acquires the exclusive rights in Central America for four seasons (2022-2026)

The pay-TV operator Sky Mexico has extended its partnership with Bundesliga International and acquired the exclusive rights, for Mexico and Central America, to the Bundesliga, the 2.Bundesliga and the German Supercup over the 2022-2026 period, on 18/05/2022.

Sky Mexico already held these rights in full but not in exclusivity (3 out of 9 exclusive matches) since the 2020-21 season.

The agreement covers Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic (non-exclusive).

• "The agreement also includes a range of broadcasting commitments from both sides, as well as implementing a compelling distribution strategy that utilises both Sky Mexico’s well-established channels and new platforms. Additionally, both parties will explore opportunities to further increase reach and awareness of the Bundesliga in the market," said Bundesliga International.
