Ligue 1: supporters of Lyon to boycott PSG-Lyon match because of "prohibitive" tickets

No member of the three groups of Lyon supporters will make the trip to the Parc des Princes "for the second year running" during the Paris Saint-Germain - Olympique Lyonnais fixture (Matchday 6 of Ligue 1, on 21/09/2014) because of the "prohibitive" price (€45) of the tickets for the visiting fans, and because of the ban on materials in the stands, said the Amicale des Rouges & Bleus, the Bad Gones 1987 and the Lyon 1950, the three groups of supporters of Olympique Lyonnais, on 18/09/2014.

"In spite of our wish to support the club in the difficult moments it is currently going through, all of the conditions, both tariff-related and material-related, do not enable us to make the trip this year. (...) We will not take part in this joke and we refuse to finance, through the purchase of these tickets, a club whose values are opposed to those we defend," said the three groups in a joint statement.

"We call upon the government to get to grips with the price of football tickets. These prohibitive prices are increasing (Paris, Lille...) and prevent the working-class supporters from watching…
