Kylian Mbappé's PSG contract extension: "An insult to football" (Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga)

"What Paris Saint-Germain is doing to extend (Kylian) Mbappé with large sums of money... after making losses of €700m in recent seasons and while having a wage bill of €600m is an INSULT to football. (Nasser) Al-Khelaïfi (president of PSG) is as dangerous as the Super League," wrote LaLiga president Javier Tebas on Twitter on 21/05/2022, before the official announcement of the contract extension the same evening.

Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) announced that Kylian Mbappé (FRA) would extend his contract with the club for three additional seasons, until 30/06/2025, just before Paris Saint-Germain - FC Metz (5-0, Matchday 38) on 21/05/2022.

"LaLiga will file a complaint against PSG before UEFA, the French administrative and fiscal authorities and European Union authorities to continue to defend the economic ecosystem of European football and its sustainability," said the Spanish professional football league on 21/05/2022.
