Ligue 1: Marc Coucke, CEO of Omega Pharma, acquires 5% of LOSC Lille

The Belgian businessman Marc Coucke, the CEO of the pharmaceutical company Omega Pharma, became a shareholder of LOSC Lille (Ligue 1), the club announced on 18/09/2014.

Marc Coucke thus becomes "the third main shareholder of the club," said LOSC Lille. He acquired 5% of the Lille club. Michel Seydoux, the president of LOSC Lille, will remain the majority shareholder. Isidore Partouche, the founder of the Casino group, keeps his shares in the club through his family's holding company.

Marc Coucke was already involved in the club as his brand of nutritional supplements for athletes, Etixx (Omega Pharma group), became the shirt sponsor of LOSC Lille in 2014-15, on 27/06/2014.

The businessman, 49 years old, is also the majority shareholder of KV Ostende (Belgian first division), whilst his company is the main partner of the professional cycling team Omega Pharma - Quick-Step.
