European Top 5: European Cup qualification, promotions and relegations as of 23/05/2022

LaLiga Santander, the Serie A TIM, Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Premier League have all come to an end and most of the sporting conclusions have been reached, but there are still some uncertainties regarding promotions to the top flight.

The German leagues ended the previous week with the relegation of SpVgg Greuther Fürth and DSC Arminia Bielefeld to the 2.Bundesliga, and the return of FC Schalke 04 and SV Werder Bremen to the top flight just one season after their relegation. Hertha BSC, 16^th in the Bundesliga, will remain in the top flight in 2022-23 following their play-off success (0-1 defeat in the first leg on 19/05, 2-0 victory in the second leg on 23/05/2022) versus Hamburger SV, 3^rd in the 2.Bundesliga.

• Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) have qualified for the Champions League group stage in 2022-23.
• AS Saint-Étienne - AJ Auxerre are in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats play-offs.
