With a brand valuation of €1.525bn, Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) are first place in the annual "Football 50 2022" ranking established by the American company Brand Finance, a consultancy firm specialised in brand strategy and valuation, published on 24/05/2022, while Liverpool FC (Premier League) are ranked fourth, as the two clubs prepare to face each other in the 2021-22 Champions League final at the Stade de France (Paris, FRA) on Saturday 28/05/2022 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

The Madrid club is also ranked second in the 2022 edition of the Deloitte Football Money League, which ranks European clubs according to their turnover in 2020-21. With revenues (excluding transfers) of €640.7m, they are ahead of their English rivals, who generated €550.4m (7^th).

With 13 Champions League titles, Real Madrid, the competition's most successful club, are also ahead of Liverpool (6 victories in the competition), among the Top 20 "World's Most Valuable Soccer Teams" (excluding real estate) as established by the American business magazine Forbes in April 2021.
