Werder Bremen: 1% of ticketing & sponsorship revenue to be donated to the Common Goal movement

SV Werder Bremen will donate 1% of its sponsorship and ticketing revenue to social initiatives run by Common Goal, a charity movement co-founded by Spanish footballer Juan Mata in 2017, announced the club promoted to the Bundesliga for 2022-23 on 25/05/2022.

"Common Goal is able to support local projects aimed at promoting gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, peace, anti-racism initiatives or the development of children and youth in over 151 organisations worldwide. Common Goal have set the aim of helping 100 million young people around the world get out of poverty by 2030," said Werder Bremen.

Common Goal has 385 patrons, including more than 200 football directors, coaches and players - such as Serge Gnabry (GER), Paula Dybala (ARG), Giorgio Chiellini (ITA) and Jürgen Klopp (GER) - including Klaus Filbry, CEO of Werder Bremen, since 2019. All of them donate 1% of their income to a charity project supported by Common Goal.
