2021-22 Champions League: Real Madrid crowned champions of Europe for the 14^th time

Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) won the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League final versus Liverpool FC (Premier League) 1-0 at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis, FRA) on Saturday 28/05/2022. This is the Madrid club's 14^th victory in the competition and the fifth in the last nine editions. No other club has been crowned champions of Europe so many times since the competition was created in 1955 (first called the "European Champion Clubs' Cup", then the Champions League from 1992).

Also the Spanish champions (for the 35^th time) in 2021-22, Real Madrid will participate in the group stage of the 2022-23 Champions League alongside three other Spanish clubs: FC Barcelona, Club Atlético de Madrid and Sevilla FC.
