Bundesliga: Jako (GER) to succeed Kappa (ITA) as equipment supplier of FSV Mainz for 2023-2028

German brand Jako will become the official equipment supplier of FSV Mainz 05 (Bundesliga) from 2023-24 as part of a planned five-season partnership (2023-2028), announced the German club on 30/05/2022.

"Together with Jako, Mainz 05 are looking to set new standards for sustainability in the Bundesliga," said the club, whose partnership with Jako covers all teams (men's, women's and juniors).

This new equipment supplier contract means the premature end of the partnership between Kappa and FSV Mainz. Initially contracted for a five-season cycle (€1.3m/season) running until 30/06/2025 (following an agreement on 17/01/2020), both parties have agreed to end their collaboration at the end of 2022-23. Kappa will therefore remain FSV Mainz's official equipment supplier until 30/06/2023.

Jako will also be represented in the 2022-23 Bundesliga. The brand from Baden-Württemberg (GER) extended its partnership with VfB Stuttgart until 2028-29, but has not renewed its contract with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, which has moved to Castore (GBR) for the 2022-2027 cycle.
