Stade de France incidents: "Horrified by the way fans have been treated" (B. Hogan, CEO of LFC)

"I've spent time reviewing some of the information and I'm horrified by the way some men, women, children - able bodied, less able bodied - have been indiscriminately treated over the course of Saturday," said Billy Hogan, CEO of Liverpool FC, in a statement on the club's website on 31/05/2022, following the incidents at the Stade de France during the Champions League final between Liverpool FC (Premier League) and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), whose kick-off was delayed by 35 minutes on 28/05/2022.

"The Merseyside Police was on the ground just in an advisory capacity last night (28/05/2022) and they put a statement out (see below) where they talked about the behaviour of the fans being exemplary; queuing and doing what they were asked to do in terms of queuing and being orderly. Fans were there very early at the stadium as well.
