LaLiga Santander: Fancurve (Web3) to launch Real Betis Balompié digital shirts (NFTs)

Fancurve, an American blockchain platform offering a "digital sports fashion" metaverse, has become an official partner of Real Betis Balompié (LaLiga Santander) for three seasons (2022-2025), announced the Sevillian club on 31/05/2022.

As part of the partnership, Fancurve will launch a series of digital assets (NFTs) in the form of a collection of Real Betis shirts. A first drop of five different models of officially licensed Real Betis shirts will be offered on 07/06/2022. These virtual shirts have "varying levels of rarity". The starting price is set at €40 each.

Fancurve, which raised $6.25m (€5.8m) in April 2022, is both a metaverse and a digital marketplace in which users have a personalised wardrobe containing their purchases. Users can have their avatars wear the outfits and also resell these assets to other users of the platform. "Soon, fans will also be able to wear their jerseys in various partner metaverse platforms," said Real Betis.
