Football Benchmark 2022: valuation of the 32 top European football clubs up 10% (+€3.4bn)

After suffering a 15% drop (-€6.1bn) due to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, the aggregate valuation of the 32 top European football clubs is up again by 10% (+€3.4bn) in 2022, according to the 7^th edition of "The European Elite" report published by Football Benchmark, the football business intelligence platform managed by the Hungarian consultancy firm ACE Advisory, on 26/05/2022.

Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) is the football club with the highest valuation (€3.184bn, +9.5% vs 2021), ahead of Manchester United FC (Premier League, €2.883bn, +8.3%) and FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, €2.814bn, -1.9%). The Madrid club has dominated the ranking since the first edition of the report, published in 2016.

Of the 32 clubs surveyed, AC Milan (Serie A TIM, 15^th, €578m) posted the biggest percentage growth (+35.4%). Furthermore, for the second consecutive season, each of the European Top 5 leagues has at least one representative among the ten most valuable clubs.
