TikTok: number of followers for the 83 European Top 5 clubs with an official account (June 2022)

With 27.4 million followers, Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) remain the most popular European club on the Chinese social network TikTok, far ahead of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, 17.2 million) and Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League. 16.7 million), according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 03/06/2022. The Madrid club has gained three places in the standings (compared to 03/05/2022) and has replaced FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, 16 million followers) on the podium.

Real Madrid CF, 2021-22 Champions League winners, posted the best increase in absolute value with an additional 3.3 million followers accumulated during the month of May 2022. AC Milan (Serie A TIM, +1.8 million followers) were second, with Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain (+1.1 million each), in joint third place.

The best percentage growth (excluding accounts with less than 100,000 followers) was posted by Eintracht Frankfurt (Bundesliga), 2021-22 Europa League winners, followed by of AC Milan (Serie A TIM, +40.9%) and Real Betis Balompié (LaLiga Santander, +29.8%).
