LaLiga Santander: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (June 2022)

The 20 clubs in the 2021-22 LaLiga Santander season have nearly 593 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/06/2022. This total makes the Spanish first division the second most popular European Top 5 league on the three social networks combined, behind the Premier League (nearly 651 million fans), with an average of 29.6 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with more than 273 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with more than 254 million, are ahead of Club Atlético de Madrid, in third place with 33.3 million.

2021-22 Champions League winners Real Madrid posted the best growth in absolute value during the month of May 2022 with an additional 5.34 million followers in total, 73.7% of which were on Instagram alone. No other club participating in the European Top 5 performed better over the same period.
