Justice: Joseph Blatter & Michel Platini trial in Switzerland 08-22/06/2022, verdict on 07/08/2022

• "Joseph S. Blatter and Michel François Platini are accused of having illegally obtained, to the detriment of FIFA, a payment of CHF2m (or €1.54m in February 2011, at the time of the facts) as well as social security contributions in the amount of CHF229,126 (€176,427) in favour of Michel François Platini.

• Among other things, Michel Francois Platini had submitted to FIFA in 2011 a presumably fictitious invoice for an (allegedly) still existing claim for his consulting activities for FIFA in the years 1998 to 2002

• After signing this invoice and confirming the existence of the claim by Joseph S. Blatter, FIFA allegedly paid the corresponding claim (including social security contributions) to Michel François Platini."
