Roland-Garros: cumulative audience of 42 million viewers on France Télévisions (+3 million vs 2021)

"Nearly 42 million viewers saw at least one minute of Roland-Garros 2022, i.e. 73% of the population (of France), which is the best coverage since 2012, up by 3.3 million viewers compared to 2021. 56% of 15-24 year olds were reached, i.e. 5 points more than in 2021," announced France Télévisions, on 07/06/2022, two days after the end of the tournament.

The 2022 edition of the Grand Slam tournament took place in Paris (FRA) from 22/05 to 05/06/2022. 39 million viewers saw at least one minute of Roland-Garros 2021, while the 2020 edition was watched by 38.1 million French people (cumulative audience) on the public channels of the France Télévisions group, i.e. eight million more than in 2019.

"An average of 1.9 million viewers watched the matches during the afternoons on France 2 (average audience share of 20.6%) in 2022, the best average audience since 2015 and the best audience share since 2008 (1.6 million in 2021 for an average audience share of 17.7%).
