LOSC Lille: stadium to be renamed "Decathlon Arena Stade Pierre-Mauroy" for 5 seasons (press)

Decathlon, a French-based group that designs, produces and distributes sporting goods, has been awarded the naming rights to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy (50,156 capacity) by the Lille European Metropolis (MEL) for five seasons (2022-2027), according to the French radio station, France Bleu Nord, on 07/06/2022. The stadium where LOSC Lille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) plays will be known as the "Decathlon Arena Stade Pierre-Mauroy", as part of a renewable agreement worth an estimated €6m (€1.2m per year).

The MEL pays €16m per year to the constructor Eiffage as part of a public-private partnership (PPP) to operate the stadium in Villeneuve-d'Ascq (FRA), where Decathlon's headquarters are also located. The agreement with the group should be finalised at the Lille European Metropolis' next council meeting on 27/06/2022, according to France Bleu Nord.
