"The question is not if, but when we will host the 2022 World Cup," said Nasser Al Khater, the director of communications and marketing of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (the name of the local committee for the organisation of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar), on 23/09/2014.

This is Qatar's answer to the comments made by Theo Zwanziger, the German member of the FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) Executive Committee, who said "that in the end the 2022 World Cup will not take place in Qatar" because of the temperatures in the region, which can reach up to 50°C in summer, on 22/09/2014. "The comments made by Theo Zwanziger reflect his personal opinion and not that of FIFA," said Nasser Al Khater, a similar comment to that made by FIFA on 22/09/2014.

"Summer or winter, we will be ready," said the Qatari leader.
