Stade de France incidents: Michel Cadot gives 5 recommendations in his report on the events

The following five recommendations were made by Michel Cadot, Interministerial Delegate for both Major Sports Events (DIGES) and the Olympic and Paralympic Games (DIJOP), in the report submitted to Élisabeth Borne, Prime Minister of France, on 10/06/2022:

1 - Set up a national steering body for major international sports events
2 - Optimisation of the management of access to the sites
3 - Flexible and reactive service concept
4 - Secure and personalised ticketing
5 - Modernised traffic management around the Stade de France.

"Highly publicised scenes of operations to restore order have raised questions from outside observers about our country's ability to deliver and succeed in the major sporting events for which we will soon be responsible," laments Michel Cadot in the 30-page document that has been made public (document available to download), after the incidents that occurred around the Stade de France (Paris, FRA) during the Champions League final between Liverpool FC (Premier League) and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) (0-1), for which the kick-off was delayed by 35 minutes on…
