The Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, the eighth of the 2022 season, won by Dutchman Max Vertsappen (Red Bull Racing), drew an average of 1.19 million viewers in France on the pay-TV channel Canal+ (free-to-air broadcast) on Sunday 12/06/2022 (race start at 13:00 CET), according to data from the audience measurement institute Médiamétrie. This figure represented an audience share of 10.7%.

This is the first Grand Prix of the season to be broadcast free-to-air by the Canal+ group, which is required to broadcast four of them each season as part of its contract with Formula 1.

The Monaco Formula One Grand Prix, the seventh race of the season, won by Mexico's Sergio Pérez (Red Bull Racing), drew an average of 1.26 million viewers, with a peak audience of 1.47 million, on Canal+ on Sunday 29/05/2022 (race start at 16:05 CET), according to Médiamétrie data.
