Major League Soccer: Apple acquires global broadcast rights for $250m per season (2023-2032)

Apple, an American multinational technology company specialised in electronics, has acquired the exclusive global (US and international) broadcasting rights to Major League Soccer (MLS) for the 2023-2032 cycle (10 seasons), announced the two organisations on 14/06/2022.

Apple has acquired the rights for $250m (€238m) per season, or a total of $2.5bn (€2.38m) over 10 years, according to US media reports. This is Apple's second acquisition of sports media rights after a deal with Major League Baseball on 08/03/2022.

The new MLS streaming service will be available via a subscription on the Apple TV app and will allow seamless viewing of all MLS, Leagues Cup and select MLS Next Pro (North American third division) and MLS Next (youth league) matches.

"A broad selection of MLS and Leagues Cup matches, including some of the biggest matchups, will also be available at no additional cost to Apple TV+ subscribers, with a limited number of matches available for free.
