Premier League: Three UK (telecoms) to resume partnership with Chelsea FC

"Following the sale of Chelsea FC (Premier League) we are pleased to confirm that Three are restarting their marketing activities with immediate effect," announced the London club, regarding their partnership with the telecommunications operator, which was temporarily suspended as a result of UK Government sanctions imposed on the club's previous owner Roman Abramovich, due to Russia's war in Ukraine, in March 2022.

"In light of the government's recently announced sanctions, we have requested Chelsea FC temporarily suspend our sponsorship of the club, including the removal of our brand form shirts and around the stadium until further notice," announced the British telecommunications and internet service provider previously on 10/03/2022.

Three UK, owned by Hong Kong's CK Hutchison Holdings, has been Chelsea's major partner and main shirt sponsor since 2020-21 (£40m/€47.4m per season). The contract was originally due to end at the end of 2022-23.
