Spain: LaLiga to launch an academy in the United States in September 2022, its 11^th abroad

LaLiga North America, the Spanish professional league's subsidiary dedicated to promoting football across the Atlantic, has partnered with Vermont Academy (Saxtons River, USA) and will launch "Vermont Academy LaLiga" in September 2022, which will cater for high school students aged 14 to 19, announced the body on 15/06/2022.

"The Vermont Academy LaLiga partnership is the first LaLiga soccer programme outside Spain to offer a comprehensive college preparatory education combined with LaLiga's soccer development methodology. Participating student-athletes will compete at a high level year-round, while receiving a rigorous US college preparatory education with exposure to coaches at top US colleges and universities, enhancing their personal development, growth and future career opportunities," explained LaLiga.
