Ligue 2 BKT: Hummel succeeds Le Coq Sportif as equipment supplier of AS Saint-Étienne (2022-2027)

The Danish brand Hummel has become the official equipment supplier of AS Saint-Étienne (relegated to Ligue 2 BKT for the 2022-23 season) for five seasons (2022-2027), announced the club on 16/06/2022. The agreement was negotiated by the marketing agency Sportfive.

Hummel will supply the match and training wear for AS Saint-Étienne's men's, women's, academy and wheelchair football teams. The Danish brand succeeds French equipment manufacturer Le Coq Sportif, which has been working with the Saint-Etienne (FRA) club since 2015. Le Coq Sportif had renewed its contract for another five years (2020-2025, between €2 and €2.5m per season) on 04/06/2020, before announcing the end of its partnership on 19/05/2022.

Hummel will not equip any other Ligue 1 Uber Eats or Ligue 2 BKT club in 2022-23. In the European Top 5, the Danish brand is partnered with Premier League clubs Everton FC (2020-2023, €11.2m per season) and Southampton FC (2021-2026) as well as 1. FC Köln (Bundesliga, 2022-2027, €4m per season).
