European Top 5: Girona FC promoted in Spain; the 98 clubs for the 2022-23 season confirmed

The 98 clubs that will participate in the European Top 5 leagues in 2022-23 (18 in the Bundesliga and 20 in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, LaLiga Santander, Premier League and Serie A TIM) have been decided.

One final uncertainty remained in Spain, where Girona FC, winners of the LaLiga SmartBank playoff final versus CD Tenerife (0-0, 3-1), finally made their return to the Spanish top flight, three years after their relegation at the end of the 2018-19 season. The Catalan club join UD Almería and Real Valladolid CF, who were promoted directly after finishing first and second respectively in the Spanish second division.
