Wembley: arch will be illuminated and react to goals, crowd noise and Twitter

The signature arch of Wembley Stadium (90,652 seats) London (ENG) will be illuminated with LED lights of different colours at key moments during matches played in the enclosure, such as goals scored or the songs of supporters, announced the English FA (Football Association), on 23/09/2014. The structure overlooking the stadium will also showcase the colours of the opposing teams according to the number of messages posted on Twitter.

This lighting system will be used for the first time during the final of the Capital One Cup (English league cup), on 01/03/2015. It will also be used during the England - Lithuania fixture, on 27/03/2015, in the qualification for Euro 2016 (in France, from 10/6 to 10/07/2016).

Fans who use the mobile application for the stadium will be randomly selected to receive better seats. They can also send messages on the big screens at Wembley, via their smartphones. The application has been available for free download on iOS and Android since 26/02/2014.
