Paris 2024: Carrefour, fifth premium partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games

Carrefour, a French supermarket group, has become a premium partner (first level) of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, announced the two parties on 22/06/2022.

Carrefour is the fifth premium partner after Groupe BPCE, EDF, Orange and Sanofi. The value of this agreement is less than the €100m required for this level of partnership, according to information from L'Équipe du jour. The partnership is the 20^th concluded by the Paris 2024 Organising Committee.

As part of the agreement, the French group will supply "fresh and organic" produce (fruit, vegetables, cereal products, meat, fish and seafood) to the Olympic and Paralympic Villages in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine and Saint-Denis (Paris, FRA). As an "official supporter" (third level), Sodexo will be responsible for catering in the Athletes' Village. "There is no deal (with Sodexo) yet, but we are working on it," said Alexandre Bompard, CEO of Carrefour, to L'Équipe on 22/06/2022. Carrefour will offer co-branded products in the Olympic colours in its 5,000 shops in France.
