Ineos: ambassador Eliud Kipchoge's sports academy in Kenya expanded to include cycling

Ineos is expanding the scope of its ambassador Eliud Kipchoge's dedicated athletics training camp based in Kaptagat, Kenya, "towards a wider kind of sports academy," announced the chemicals company on 22/06/2022.

Ineos extended its commitment to the Kenyan athlete, a double Olympic marathon champion (Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020), in his quest for the treble at the Paris 2024 Olympics, on 12/01/2022. He has since been working with Dave Brailsford, former manager of the UCI WorldTour cycling team "Team Sky" which became "Team Ineos" in May 2019, and then "Team Ineos Grenadiers" since the 2020 Tour de France, in his new role as director of sport at Ineos.

"The Ineos Eliud Kipchoge Cycling Academy will be headed up by Valentijn Trouw and the wider Kaptagat team. Trouw has over 30 years' experience in identifying and nurturing long distance running talent in Kenya, creating a pathway for some of the greatest distance runners ever to compete on the world stage.
