Basketball: Autohero (vehicle e-commerce), main jersey sponsor of Real Madrid (Liga Endesa)

Autohero, an online used car sales platform belonging to the Berlin-based Auto1 Group SE, has become the main jersey sponsor of Real Madrid Basketball (Liga Endesa) for three seasons (2022-2025), announced the Spanish club on 23/06/2022. The agreement includes an option to extend the partnership.

Autohero, which entered Spain in February 2022, succeeds the hotel group Palladium, main jersey sponsor of the 2021-22 Spanish Champions for the 2019-2022 cycle. The different sections of Real Madrid (men's and women's football teams and men's basketball team) have their own sponsorship hierarchy. Autohero is the only a sponsor for the basketball team, which has nine partners.

The German group signed its first sports sponsorship deals with Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and Hertha BSC (Bundesliga) in 2021-22. Cazoo, a British group positioned in the same market as Autohero, has deployed an aggressive sponsorship strategy, and will be featured on the kits of seven European Top 5 football clubs in 2022-23.
